Hey there everyone (Amber....and anyone else that actually looks at this:-)
It has been a million years since I last wrote in here. And I do apologize for the extreme delay. Life with three children ages 3 & under can seem like you're living in a zoo at times. But it is a wonderful kind of employment....one with eternal rewards! I would not trade it for all the free time in the world!!!
I will be posting a few pictures for your enjoyment, here after this post goes up.
Things that are going on & that are new in our family:
1. POTTY TRAINING BOOT CAMP!!! In full motion!
>Nyla has it just about down. She has pooped in the toilet a few times now, and goes pee pee regular, unless directed otherwise (like if we're out at a resturant or something...we have not yet figured out how to go about that...but we will.)
>Caleb...well he is a boy. And he LOVES to please us when he goes pee pee in the big boy potty, but will forget sometimes when he gets involved with an activity. So we just have to be on top of asking him if he has to go. And still no poops yet in the toilet. But it will happen!
2. Dave is still in EMT school. And moving rapidly forward. He is no longer with Trader Joes. (PTL) That is now a past thing. But still fairly new to us, we just finished our first week without it. Still seems surreal.
He has been working at UPS now for almost 3 months. It is hard work, but he seems to like it.
His final goal career wise is obviously to get on with the Fire Dept. summer of 2009. So for now, we will just penny pinch, and eat LOTS of potatos & beans to get us through this short season of time! We want him to be able to have the freedom he needs to study, so he can excel & do well in this class...since he NEEDS to pass it, if he wants a chance at getting on the Fire Dept. It has become a requirment for them to be EMT certified to even make it to the interview.
So that is what he is working on currently.
3. Me? FULLTIME Mommy, with all the normal challenges & rewards!!!
4. Together as a family, we are just trying to constantly find a balance between all the various aspects of life right now: Our personal walks with the Lord, our marriage, raising up children to fear & love the Lord, Fellowship & involvement in our local body of believers, school & work!
Alot of various things going on, none of which can just be paused. So it is none stop around here, for now. Busy, but a good kind of busy.
Well, I think that wraps us up in a short summary for now.....until the next chance I have to sit quietly with little to no interruptions....talk to you later!
