So much has gone on since we were last here! Forgive how long it has been since we have posted anything including pictures! We are truly wanting to work at being better at this whole thing. But since we last posted anything, we have now bought our first home & moved into it. Then two days after moving into it, we discovered we're going to have another BABY come this June!! Wow! So much happened in such a short period of time! We do know that there is only ONE baby in there! So we're excited to find out what it is like to just have one newborn, infant, toddler...etc. A singleton!
Then we had the holidays fly upon us so fast! And we were delighted to host Dave's parents for 16 days coming to us all the way from California, and Auntie Sarah came into town all the way from Washington state for a whole week! So we had a blast of a Christmas....with precious family near & hot apple cider and delicious FOOD to eat. It was a grand time! We were only sad to have to say good-bye for now. :-( But we will see everyone again sometime this year, since we have a new addition coming! :-)
We had a quiet (minus the fire crackers going off in the neighborhood) New Years Eve & Day! I fell asleep until right before midnight, then kissed Dave & went to bed. Boy do things change when you have beloved children to care for the next day...it mkaes you stop & think before pulling all nighters like once before in the good ol' college days. :-) Plus your body changes & needs more rest, at least I think so. Maybe others can still do it all, but as time goes by, things do change. We mature! :-) We hope at least! :-)
Then there was the recovery time after having a full house and not seeming to slow down much....then it hit.....
....sickness. Yup, we got hit by the nasty & famous for this time of year, FLU BUG!!! And it was the stomach kind too! Yuck! I got it first (mommy) then it came over Nyla big time, and Caleb it just kind of swept over him lightly. Dave remains untouched.
Praise the Lord!!! :-)
We are still dealing with slight remains of it floating around here & there...but it seems for the most part we are on the mend! :-)
Caleb now just has a runny nose, but mommy is keeping a very close eye on that....just to make sure it does not develop into something else.
Nyla got a hair trim today. This is only her 3rd time having any hair trimmed or cut. She has the cutest little soft curls in the back, and mommy can't seem to part with them. :-) Not yet at least. We're glad she is a girl, so she can have longer hair & it looks fine.
So that brings you up to date with the Meier family. Praise the Lord! I am thankful I finally devoted myself to making the time needed to accomplish this simple task.
We love you all & hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season, and hope that sickness remains at bay from you all! :-)
Time for bedtime now for a very sleepy mommy. Good night to all!
